2008 National Teacher Awards
Time Warner Cable recently recognized teachers from across the country at its 19th annual National Teacher Awards on Tuesday, June 3 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. This year, 29 teachers were recognized for their creative use of cable television in the classroom and each received a Crystal Apple as well as $2,000 cash and $3,000 for school technological advancement. During the ceremony, Time Warner Cable also recognized a Champion Principal who had helped cultivate a technologically-advanced school environment for teachers and students. For his efforts, Dr. Bowden, Principal of Canajoharie High School, Canajoharie, New York, received $5,000 for classroom technology enhancement.
